Privacy Policy

The short version

By default, everything you put into K4C stays on your device. We don't show ads or track you. The one exception is kitchen sharing: if you choose to share a kitchen with someone, that kitchen's contents and your basic account identity sync through our sharing service so the people you invite can see it. If you never share a kitchen, nothing leaves your device.

Sign-in

K4C requires Sign in with Apple to create a local account record. The identifier, name, and email returned by Apple are stored in your device's Keychain. They are only sent to our sharing service if and when you use kitchen sharing — to verify your sign-in and identify you to the people you share with. Apple processes the sign-in itself under its own privacy policy. Google sign-in is coming soon; until then, sign in with Apple.

Your data

Kitchens and locations, condiment items, quantities and par levels, expiration dates, notes, restock history, inventory counts, and photos you add are stored locally on your device. Smart Restock estimates are computed on the device from your own restock history. Face ID / Touch ID checks are performed by iOS; biometric data never reaches the app or 4DAT LLC. Unless you share a kitchen (see below), none of this is transmitted off your device.

To delete your data, delete your kitchens in the app or remove the app from your device. Signing out removes the local account record; kitchen data remains on the device until you delete it.

Kitchen sharing (optional)

When you share a kitchen, K4C sends that kitchen's contents — its name, condiment items, quantities, par levels, expiration dates, notes, and any photos you've attached to its items — along with a record of your account (a K4C account identifier, your sign-in identifier, and your email) to our sharing service, operated by 4DAT LLC on Cloudflare. We use this only to deliver the shared kitchen to the specific people you invite and approve, and to manage who can view or edit it. A kitchen is visible only to its owner and the members the owner has approved by invitation — no one else.

Photos attached to items in a shared kitchen are uploaded to the sharing service so the members you approve can see them; photos in kitchens you never share stay on your device. We don't sell shared data, show ads, or use it for anything beyond providing the sharing feature. To stop sharing, remove members or stop sharing the kitchen in the app; removing a member revokes their access immediately. Email hello@ai4dat.com to request deletion of your account record and shared data from the sharing service.

Purchases

The Restaurant subscription is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.

Reorder buttons open Amazon with a search query for your condiment and the 4DAT Associate tag (tag=4dat-20). As an Amazon Associate, 4DAT LLC earns from qualifying purchases. Once you leave the app, Amazon's privacy policy applies. The app does not display Amazon prices, ratings, reviews, or availability.

No tracking

The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.

This website

The affiliate link tester on this site keeps its audit log in your browser's local storage only; it is not sent to a server. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the tester.
